OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is directly responsible to the Occupational Therapist, or in his/her absence, to the Program Supervisor. He or she is responsible for the implementation and administration of programs as set forth by the Occupational Therapist.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Agency Responsibilities
- Attend all in-service training sessions and other scheduled meetings/activities as directed by the Executive Director.
- Comply with Agency personnel policies and other duties/directives as assigned.
School Responsibilities
- Prepare OT schedule, coordinating with teachers and other therapists.
- Carry out treatment programs as demonstrated and discussed by OT.
- Assist in lifting and carrying of students who weigh up to 150 lbs.
- Assist children in toileting needs, i.e. placing on potty, changing diapers, depending on individual needs of the student.
- Assist PT in maintenance of wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment.
- Oversee use of adaptive equipment and wheelchairs.
- Implement and oversee individual feeding programs as directed by OT.
- Consult and train classroom and support staff regarding student's programs or issues that may arise.
- Modify/update current therapy, feeding or self-care programs as directed by OT.
- Collect data, OT goals, prepare parent reports and other paper work as requested, keeping records of parent approval and current releases from doctors.
- Report issues of concern to OT, PT or other appropriate staff.
- Compile monthly statistics and weekly activity sheets on client load and submit same to Director - School Services.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of sensory room.
- Write and implement sensory plans.
- All other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL PLANT/VEHICLE TECHNICIAN
The Physical Plant/Vehicle Technician is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operation of the facilities and all agency vehicles.
Responsibilities will include assisting in maintaining equipment of ARC used in various program. Assisting in maintaining operation of heating and cooling units.
Contact outside service agencies for repairs, etc., vehicle responsibilities, assist in maintenance and record keeping of all vehicles of arc, assist in providing scheduled maintenance of all vehicles as necessary.

Residential Nurse - LPN
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Residential Nurse-LPN has the responsibility for the administration of treatment to ensure participation in the CILA program, as prescribed by an attending physician. He or she is directly responsible to the Residential Program Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Agency Responsibilities
- Attend all in-services, meetings, and activities as directed by the Executive Director.
- Participate in agency committees and in-services upon assignment.
- Comply with agency personnel and policies and other duties/directives as assigned.
Residential Responsibilities
- Administer medicine as prescribed by the Physician.
- Administer treatments as prescribed by the Physician.

Residential Relief – Float -Part Time
Responsible for the operation of the residence and for providing appropriate, quality care to the residents as determined by the Community Support Team and in accordance with established guidelines developed by The William M. BeDell Achievement and Resource Center and the Illinois Department of Human Services Disabilities.
Agency Responsibilities:
- Attend all in-services and other scheduled meetings/activities as directed by the Program Director.
- Establish and maintain good relations with the community in which the residence is located.
- Compile reports, data and other information as directed and provide all necessary paperwork and time sheets to the office in a timely manner.
- Inform the Residential Supervisor of any changes, problems, or concerns relating to the residents or their response to care and treatment.
- Inform the Residential Supervisor of any problems relating to the maintenance of the home.
- Inform the Lead Supervisor of any serious problems in the home requiring immediate attention or assistance.
- Inform the Lead Supervisor of any change in plans or unusual situations.
- Comply with all agency and program policies and procedures.
- Responsible for working as scheduled or finding replacements as in accordance to the policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Program Responsibilities
- To provide appropriate, quality care to each individual resident in the home in accordance with the Individual Service Plan and as agreed upon by the Community Support Team.
- To be aware and familiar with any and all new developments within the home by reading the Logbook, attending home meetings, and communicating with the Residential Supervisor.
- To assure that all medications are given as prescribed, and all other medical procedures are carried out as directed within the home.
- To assure that residents are provided quality and nutritious meals.
- To assure that all diet restrictions are carried out as directed.
- To assist residents in developing and pursuing appropriate leisure-time and recreational activities in accordance with their individual interests and abilities.
- To assist residents in developing and maintaining healthful grooming and hygiene practices.
- To assure that the home is maintained in a manner which is healthful, safe, orderly, pleasant, clean, and comfortable.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Secretary for the Community Day Services Program has the responsibility for a wide range of clerical duties which maintains the organization of the CDS program. He/She is directly responsible to the Program Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for students, which addresses their individual needs.
- Implement and supervise the implementation of student programs as identified in the goals and objectives listed in a student's IEP.
- Manage the classroom by supervising assigned teacher aides and volunteers.
- Assist in lifting and carrying of students who weigh up to 150 pounds.
- Assist children in toileting needs, i.e. placing on potty, changing diapers, depending on individual needs of the student.
- Assist in developing and executing Behavior Intervention Plans and other plans as developed by therapists (in addition to IEP).

The DSP I of the Community Day Services Program has the responsibility of providing direct care and training for the individuals served. He/She is directly responsible to the Program Supervisor.
