About Us
School Program, Ages 3-22
- Providing educational services to individuals with intellectual and physical impairments from 3-21 years old, students enrolled in our program are taught skills in seven training areas. After a school district refers a student to our school, the ARC interdisciplinary team will complete an assessment and write an Individual Education Plan for the individual based on the evaluation, informal observations, parental concerns, and reports from other agencies. In the classrooms, we have a certified teacher developing and helping individuals implement their goals and Support Service Specialists assisting the teacher in forming facilitating student's completion of those goals.

At William M. BeDell arc, we believe in a holistic approach that addresses not only a child's academic needs but also their social and emotional well-being. We work closely with families and other professionals to create a comprehensive plan that meets the unique needs of each child. arc was founded on the dedication to provide care for children with special needs starting in 1956, leading to the evolution of care through parents and educators to create an education system here in Madison County. Now we work with many districts within Madison, Calhoun, St. Clair and other surrounding counties school districts to provide quality education and skill building to children aged 3 to 22.
